Extend Protection Plan
Winston Privacy and Extend have partnered to offer extended warranties on Winston products sold through the Winston Privacy website. The 1 year manufacturing warranty is still managed by Winston Privacy, but the extended warranties are managed by Extend. The policy and claim information can be found here:
Extended Warranties sold on Kickstarter and Indiegogo under the name "Winston Protection Plan" are through Winston Privacy, not Extend, and are covered by the following policy:
Accidents Happen. The Winston Protection Plan (“Plan”) not only extends the 1-year Limited Warranty by one additional year, but also includes coverage for accidental damages for your peace of mind for the entire 2-year term of the warranty.
Every Winston Privacy Filter (“Product”) comes with a 1 Year Limited Warranty as described here: https://winstonprivacy.com/pages/warranty-policy. This limited warranty warrants the original purchaser at retail (“Purchaser” or “you”) that the Product is free from defects in workmanship and material. If purchased with the Product, this Plan not only extends the Limited Warranty by another year, for a total of two years, but it also provides coverage for accidental damage solely as defined and included in this list immediately below:
What is not defined as accidental damage or is otherwise, for the avoidance of doubt, not included in the limited warranty or this extended coverage Plan:
To make a claim under this Plan, the Purchaser must provide proof of purchase of the Product and submit a claim to Winston Privacy, Inc. ("Manufacturer") at firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days after the defect was discovered or accident occurred.
This Plan is non-transferable to replacement or other products, meaning the Plan applies to your original, purchased Product. This Plan is non-transferable to any subsequent buyer.
As a condition to receiving the remedy, the Purchaser may be required by the Manufacturer, at the Purchaser’s expense, to return the Product to the Manufacturer and to pay for any necessary return freight for a repaired or replacement Product.
Upon return of a Product under this Plan, the Manufacturer, at Manufacturer’s option, may choose to either replaces the Product with a new or refurbished Product of the same version and model, or repair the Product, if and only if a material defect or accidental damage is first confirmed by the Manufacturer’s inspection.

How Consumer Rights Affect this Plan
THE BENEFITS CONFERRED BY THIS PLAN ARE IN ADDITION TO ALL RIGHTS AND REMEDIES PROVIDED UNDER CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS AND REGULATIONS. THIS PLAN SHALL NOT PREJUDICE THE RIGHTS GRANTED BY APPLICABLE CONSUMER LAW, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE REMEDIES UNDER STATUTORY WARRANTY LAW AND TO SEEK DAMAGES IN THE EVENT OF THE NON-PERFORMANCE BY MANUFACTURER OF ANY OF ITS CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS.
